Rowland Recruitment are supporting a growing Kent based finance consultancy that is looking for an ambitious and motivated AAT Apprentice Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in accountancy while gaining hands on experience across a variety of client environments. Full support will be provided towards your AAT qualification, with genuine long term progression opportunities available.
The role offers a mix of client site work, office based work and some remote working. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you will develop practical accounting skills while studying towards your qualification. As your experience grows, you will take on increasing levels of responsibility and build valuable exposure to a wide range of finance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase invoices and purchase ledger transactions
- Assisting with sales ledger administration and invoicing
- Supporting bank reconciliations and cash processing
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing expenses, petty cash and credit card transactions
- Assisting with month end finance tasks
- Providing support to clients with day to day finance activities
- Completing study requirements and professional development activities
Ideal Candidate:
- Keen to build a career in accountancy and finance
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Confident communicating with colleagues and clients, this is essential as you will need to be able to communicate with all levels and be able to effectively work with senior stakeholders
- Self motivated and able to manage your workload effectively
- Committed to completing professional studies
- Essential: car and full driving licence
- Strong A Level and GCSE grades, especially in Maths and English
