Rowland Recruitment are working with a friendly and established accountancy practice near Sittingbourne that is looking to appoint an Accountant with strong personal tax experience to join their growing team.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio, build long term client relationships, and work across personal tax, accounts preparation, and client reporting. The position can be tailored to suit the successful candidate's experience and strengths, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexibility and career development within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of personal and business clients
- Preparing and reviewing self assessment tax returns
- Providing personal tax advice and support to clients
- Assisting with accounts preparation and client reporting
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software and related queries
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver a high standard of service
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience within accountancy practice or a relevant finance environment
- Strong knowledge of personal tax and self assessment returns
- Experience preparing accounts
- Comfortable managing client relationships
- Familiarity with cloud based accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar
- Open to ACA, ACCA, AAT, ATT or QBE
