Key Responsibilities:
- Taking the lead on a varied portfolio of audit and accounts assignments, acting as a trusted point of contact for your clients
- Managing audit engagements from initial planning stages through fieldwork and completion
- Producing statutory accounts for a mixture of limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and offering on‑the‑job guidance where needed
- Preparing corporation tax calculations and submitting associated returns
- Creating management accounts and providing clients with clear, practical financial insights
- Building strong client relationships and managing routine queries professionally
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines
Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or close to qualification with full study support available
- Strong background in practice with solid experience preparing statutory accounts
- Confident leading audits and supporting more junior colleagues
- Good working knowledge of corporation tax and related compliance
- Comfortable using cloud and desktop accounting software such as Xero, Sage, IRIS, Digita or similar (training available where required)
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive, detail focused approach
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a supportive, close knit team
