As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will play a key role in supporting a varied client base, working closely with the accounts team to produce year end accounts, tax/VAT returns, and management accounts, ensuring high standards and accuracy throughout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and tailored advice, ensuring outstanding service delivery.
- Complete accurate and compliant financial work within agreed deadlines and in line with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with senior team members to meet client expectations, delivering work efficiently and within budget.
- Contribute to team development by identifying process improvements and supporting service quality enhancements.
- Keep up to date with industry developments through ongoing training and CPD commitments.
- Prepare year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Assist with corporation tax and VAT returns as part of the accounts process.
- Take responsibility for financial reporting for allocated clients, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Produce personal and corporate tax calculations during the accounts cycle.
- Support audit assignments, including on-site work, under the guidance of senior staff.
- Mentor and assist junior colleagues, fostering their growth and development within the team.
Ideal Candidate:
- Part Qualified/Qualified ACA, ACCA, or AAT, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- Familiarity with software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
- Strong organisational and communication skills
