Rowland Recruitment is supporting a well established accountancy practice in the search for a Semi Senior Accountant to join its growing Business Services team. Working with a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, you will gain exposure to accounts preparation, bookkeeping, management accounts and client advisory support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assisting with the delivery of accounting and business services assignments for a diverse client portfolio
• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records using cloud based accounting software
• Preparing management accounts and financial information for clients
• Supporting clients with accounting software and bookkeeping queries
• Building strong working relationships with clients and providing a high level of service
• Assisting clients with improving financial processes and record keeping procedures
• Liaising with senior team members regarding assignment progress and client requirements
• Supporting the preparation of information for tax compliance work
• Reviewing financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assisting with the planning and completion of client assignments within agreed timescales
• Keeping up to date with accounting regulations, technology and industry developments
Ideal Candidate:
To be considered, you will ideally have:
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT qualification or be studying towards ACA or ACCA
• Experience preparing accounts for a variety of clients
• Strong bookkeeping and accounts preparation skills
• Good knowledge of cloud accounting software, particularly Xero
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• A proactive and professional approach to client service
• A genuine desire to continue developing your accounting knowledge and career
