Rowland Recruitment is supporting an established firm of accountants based in Cambridge looking to appoint an Accounts Semi Senior to their team. They have a varied client base and service a wide range of clients in the area and further afield.
As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will support a diverse client portfolio, working with the accounts team to deliver year-end accounts, tax/VAT returns, and management accounts, being an integral part of the team.
Key Responsibilities:

Build strong client relationships by delivering clear, concise communication and offering tailored advice, ensuring a consistently high level of service.

Deliver accurate and compliant financial work in line with required standards, completing assignments within set deadlines.

Work closely with senior colleagues to meet client expectations, ensuring jobs are delivered efficiently and within budget.

Play an active role in team development by contributing to process improvements and helping enhance the quality of service delivery.

Stay up to date with industry knowledge through ongoing professional development and training to meet CPD obligations.

Prepare year-end financial statements for a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Support in the completion of corporation tax and VAT returns as part of the wider accounts process.

Take ownership of financial reporting for a dedicated client base, ensuring precision and adherence to deadlines.

Produce personal and corporate tax calculations as required during the accounts production cycle.

Assist with audit work, including on-site visits, helping to deliver a smooth process under the direction of senior staff.

Offer support and coaching to junior colleagues, contributing to their learning and encouraging their development within the team.
Ideal Candidate:
- Part Qualified/Qualified ACA, ACCA, or AAT, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in an accountancy practice
- Proficiency with software like Xero and Dext
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities
