Rowland Recruitment is working with a prestigious client seeking to recruit an Associate/Senior Associate/Assistant Manager within their Audit team. The Role
As an Associate, Senior Associate, or Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting on or managing statutory audits, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring that all work adheres to professional standards and client expectations.
You will be responsible for working with on-site audit teams, liaising with clients, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality audits. This includes working on a varied portfolio of corporate clients, reporting directly to Managers, Senior Managers and Partners, and offering hands-on coaching to more junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Management: Support or lead and manage audits for a range of clients, ensuring work is completed efficiently, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Client Engagement: Depending on experience, act as the primary point of contact for clients during audit fieldwork, addressing their needs and ensuring excellent service.
- Team Leadership: depending on experience, working with or supervise audit teams, review the work of Associates, and provide on-the-job coaching to develop team members' skills.
- Risk Management: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of business cycle controls and manage audit risks efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulations and firm policies.
- Business Development: depending on experience, identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients, contributing to business growth.
- Project Management: Assist Managers, Senior Managers with project management, monitor progress against the audit budget, and report on any variances.
- Client Service Focus: Passionate about delivering excellent service to clients and ensuring their needs are met.
- Teamwork: Collaborative, with the ability to lead and motivate audit teams, ensuring fairness and respect within the team.
- Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying solutions and improving processes, demonstrating strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Ideal Candidate:
- Studying towards or holding ACA/ACCA/ qualification.
- Significant auditing experience (preferably under UK GAAP), with exposure to corporate clients.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in Caseware being advantageous.
- Keen interest in personal development and progression within the audit function.
- Exceptional communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent client service.
