This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager looking for a fresh challenge, or an ambitious Assistant Manager ready to take the next step in their career.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will manage a varied and interesting portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, with a strong emphasis on corporate and charitable organisations. This is a mixed role combining audit leadership with exposure to accounts preparation, financial reporting and tax compliance work, offering excellent variety and client interaction. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high quality client service, leading audit assignments, and supporting the development of junior team members.
Key Requirements:
• Managing a diverse portfolio of corporate, charity and owner managed business clients
• Planning, overseeing and reviewing audit assignments from initial planning through to completion
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building long term professional relationships
• Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts for a varied client base
• Supporting clients with corporation tax compliance and liaising with specialist tax colleagues where required
• Providing practical advice to clients on accounting, financial reporting and business matters
• Managing workflow across audit, accounts and compliance assignments to ensure deadlines are met
• Coaching, mentoring and developing junior members of the team
• Reviewing work produced by junior and part qualified staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance
• Identifying opportunities to add value to clients and contribute to the continued growth of the practice
Ideal Candidate:
• Be ACA or ACCA qualified
• Have previous experience managing audit assignments within an accountancy practice environment
• Possess strong leadership and people management skills
• Be confident managing client relationships and providing excellent service
• Have strong technical accounting and audit knowledge
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
