This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong audit experience who enjoys managing client relationships, developing junior talent, and delivering a high standard of technical work. The role will suit someone who is organised, commercially astute, and committed to quality service.
As Audit Manager, you will play a key part in leading audits from planning through to completion, managing a varied client portfolio, and ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations. You’ll also be responsible for reviewing files, building client relationships, and mentoring junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full audit cycle for a portfolio of clients, delivering work to a high standard and on time.
- Lead audit planning, execution, and finalisation, ensuring compliance with all relevant audit frameworks.
- Supervise and support the audit team, providing coaching and training to help them grow.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and responding to queries efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with partners and other stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
- Ensure quality and consistency across audit files in line with firm standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with proven audit experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of audit, accounting, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing and reviewing work across a team and supporting the development of junior staff.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – confident working with clients and internal teams.
- A proactive approach and a desire to contribute to the wider success of the practice.
