Rowland Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded accountancy practice in the search for a Senior Audit Associate to join its growing Audit team. Working with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, you will play a key role in delivering high quality audit assignments while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and complex client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leading audit fieldwork and audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients
• Assisting with the planning, execution and completion of statutory audits
• Liaising directly with clients throughout the audit process
• Ensuring audit work is completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines
• Preparing and reviewing audit documentation and working papers
• Identifying audit risks and ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm procedures
• Working closely with Managers, Senior Managers and Partners on client engagements
• Supporting the monitoring of audit budgets and project progress
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing guidance where required
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
Ideal Candidate:
To be considered, you will ideally have:
• ACA or ACCA part qualified, finalist or recently qualified
• Strong audit experience gained within accountancy practice
• Experience working on corporate audit assignments
• A good understanding of UK auditing and accounting standards
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience of audit software being advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
• A genuine desire to continue developing within an audit-focused career
