This role is ideal for professionals with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience, offering an opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio and contribute to the firm's continued success.
The Role:
As a Client Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of 100-150 clients, ranging from sole traders to large limited companies. Reporting directly to the partners, your responsibilities will include accounting and audit support, statutory accounts preparation, audit assignments, corporate tax returns, and the supervision of trainee staff. Approximately 10-20% of your time will be dedicated to audit activities, with the remainder focused on accounting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and nurture client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact to your portfolio.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts for a variety of business entities.
- Preparation and submission of corporate tax returns.
- Lead and review audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Provide accounting and audit support, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of trainee accountants, fostering their professional development.
- Support the partners in delivering strategic advice and solutions to clients.
Ideal Candidate:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
- Proven experience in managing a client portfolio, demonstrating strong client relationship skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, audit procedures, and tax regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong leadership qualities, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks and CaseWare.
