Rowland Recruitment is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a professional accountancy team in Mid Kent. This role focuses on managing client credit accounts, ensuring timely payments, and reducing bad debt exposure. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to maintain accurate records and resolve payment issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage outstanding balances, ensuring overdue payments are collected promptly
- Chase debts via phone, email, and written communication
- Negotiate payment plans where necessary and escalate cases appropriately
- Allocate and reconcile customer accounts, resolving discrepancies quickly
- Prepare reports on overdue accounts and cash flow for the finance team
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth billing and invoicing processes
- Ensure compliance with credit policies and legal requirements
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Attention to detail and problem solving ability
