As an experienced Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in managing the firm’s bookkeeping services, and reviewing the work of others to maintain the highest standards. This position requires strong technical knowledge, particularly with Xero and QuickBooks, and the ability to thrive in a busy practice setting. The ideal candidate will be confident, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work while supporting the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling day-to-day bookkeeping for a range of clients
- Reconciling accounts and preparing accurate financial records
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely submissions.
- Reviewing and checking work completed by other team members
- Using Xero and QuickBooks to maintain client accounts
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver exceptional service
- Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide excellent service.
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
- Strong knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks
- Ability to review and guide others’ work
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to supervise and support junior staff
- A team player with great communication skills
What’s on Offer:
- £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
