This pivotal role involves supporting the Tax Director in delivering comprehensive personal tax services to a diverse client base. The position offers flexibility, accommodating both full-time and part-time commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance and Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of personal tax returns, ensuring adherence to current tax laws and regulations.
Collating information: Collating and reviewing tax returns, preparing annual tax returns and supporting financial statements on behalf of a varied client base.
- Tax Planning Support: Supporting the Tax Director with tax planning and implementing effective tax planning strategies tailored to individual client needs.
- Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients to gather necessary financial information, address inquiries, and provide updates on tax matters.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on evolving tax legislation and its implications for clients, providing insightful analyses to inform decision-making.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure meticulous maintenance of client tax records and documentation, facilitating efficient retrieval and review processes.
Ideal Candidate:
- Educational Background: Possession of a relevant accounting or tax qualification (e.g., ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA, or QBE) is preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in personal tax compliance and preparing tax documentation and returns within an accountancy firm environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of current tax legislation and proficiency in tax software applications.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
