Rowland Recruitment is working with a highly regarded accountancy practice with national reach and a fantastic reputation for supporting entrepreneurial clients and ambitious professionals alike. Due to continued growth across their private client division, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Senior Personal Tax Advisor (at Director or aspiring Director level) to join their tax leadership team.
This is a key appointment and would suit a dynamic, commercially-minded personal tax expert who thrives on delivering advisory work, enjoys building relationships, and is confident managing and mentoring others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of high-level personal tax advice across a broad range of clients, often including HNW individuals, business owners and entrepreneurs
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, providing a mix of bespoke advisory and compliance oversight
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the local tax team, ensuring efficient delivery and development of junior staff
- Work closely with tax partners across the wider region to lead on strategic projects and specialist planning assignments
- Act as a key point of contact for complex tax issues and research technical matters to provide tailored, solutions-focused advice
- Attend and lead client meetings, helping build long-term relationships and trust with both new and existing clients
- Play an active role in team leadership – from supporting performance reviews and mentoring to driving quality and continuous improvement across tax delivery
- Identify opportunities to expand services and contribute to wider business development goals
Ideal Candidate:
- CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality personal or mixed tax advisory work in a practice setting
- Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative approach
- Comfortable working across a variety of sectors and able to quickly understand the needs of a wide-ranging client base
- Commercially astute and keen to contribute to both client retention and growth
- A confident communicator, both internally and externally
